Problem positioning bullets

I try to position bullets using left / first indent, but they remain on the far left side of the page. I'm using version 1.9.0.4. Is this a known problem or is there a workaround?

There were no known problems related to the bullet positioning.
Please note that for bulleted paragraphs, LeftIndent and FirstIndent properties of paragraph style are ignored, and corresponding properties of list level are used.
To set the position of the bullet itself, use MarkerIndent property of the list level. Other indents affect only text after the bullet.
