Please do IMG ALIGN next

Post by lkessler »

Sergey:

I know you've been working hard on Page Breaks and Printing Large Cells. That is something that I need and I'm looking forward to. Please take your time and get it right. Hopefully, it will not slow formatting very much.

But I want to put in an advance request for what I think will be left as the most important feature missing from Richview, that I hope you will work on soon after. That is to support the Richview equivalent of the IMG ALIGN in HTML.

Without that functionality, it is impossible to import or replicate an HTML page that uses the IMG ALIGN property and show it correctly. For the future of my application, this will be a major problem if it is not done.

Many others have requested this feature over the last few years. Hopefully, this message will move it up on your priority list.

It seems that your wonderful TRichView component will always be a never ending job. We users will always think of new things to ask for.

All the best.

Maybe you could add a poll for the most important functionalities.

I prefer the image alignment also!

Maybe a RVFloatItem, that can encapsulate one or more RVItems and float.
It would work like like a <DIV style="float: left;"> in HTML/CSS.

My suggestion was a RVItem that floats not only images...

When floating will be implemented, it will be implemented for all non-text items, except for full-line items (breaks, tables) and list markers.

In this case, is this feature the next todo that you will work on? or something that's still not in your next todo yet?
